Blush & Bloom
Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by Laura Fox-Wallis’s silk painting “ Blush & Bloom “. If it had been cooler, I would’ve worn my lotus-embroidered tunic (yes, I know it’s water lilies in the painting, not lotus), but since it’s still too warm, I opted for this plaid skirt to mimic both the colors of the leaves and the bird, an ivory blouse for the light background, and pale pink heels for the water lilies themselves. And of course, I couldn’t leave off the flowers altogether, so I went with this silver lotus brooch – you can hardly see it in the photos, but it’s there!
