The Not-So-Little, Not-Black Dress
Pretty much every list of “must-have items in a woman’s closet” mentions the Little Black Dress, doesn’t it? But I’ve never been big (ha! Pun unintended) on the LBD as it’s usually presented by these lists – a black sheath dress. I’ve never worn a sheath dress in my life and it just seems so boring to me. But I get that the idea behind the LBD is that it’s a basic dress that you can dress up however you want. And for me, it’s a navy (or some other neutral color) shirtwaist dress, like this one. It’s the perfect silhouette for me, and it has pockets! What more can a girl ask for?
