End of an Era
Our cat Izzy was sadly put to sleep on Sunday night after suffering a seizure whilst the children were getting ready for bed. They rang me and I shot over so that we could decide what to do; she stayed living in the house with their Dad when we separated but I saw her twice a week most weeks for a smush when collecting their bits or dropping them off. She was 17 and hadn't been eating more than a mouthful for a few days - it was clear by then that she was ill, rather than out of sorts.
