Four days in Bordeaux; Walking, Wine & Walking
Over a month later I've finally finished my recap! Our flight out of Gatwick left late because it took SO long to board with all the passengers that had carry on cases. The overhead lockers were full before half the plane had boarded, people were having to check their cabin cases into the hold (for free) and the cabin crew (and people like us who didn't take carry on cases but paid for hold luggage) were getting rather fed up! We missed our take off slot and there were storms across northern France that meant a further delay for air traffic. As a result, we arrived at Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport after the buses to town had finished for the evening so a taxi...
