Hey y'all! How's your Lord's Day been? Mine's been great and relaxing. I enjoyed a splendid nap in the hammock and had fun watching a softball game after church. Our sermon was on 1 Samuel 15 where it's the end of Saul's time as king. Samuel is reflecting on all that Saul has done. The main take-aways for me were 1) Life does not work when we live on our own strength and reject God's reign in our lives. 2) When the Israelites stopped trusting in God, they asked for a king. They desired a good thing too much. 3) God sees partial obedience as complete disobedience. We need to say the same thing about our sin as God says about it. Sin is sin. No excuses, no buts. No...
