Minty Lemons at the Getty Villa
This weekend, I was able to check one more thing off of my things to do in Los Angeles bucket list, which was a visit to the Getty Villa near Malibu. The Getty Villa houses J. Paul Getty's rather extensive collection of Greek and Roman antiquities (over 44,000 artifacts to be exact!) in a stunning recreation of a historical Roman villa. Although the museum originally opened in 1974, I truly felt like I had traveled back in time two millennia, especially while strolling the gardens of the villa that feature plants native to the Mediterranean that were known to be cultivated by the ancient Romans.
