For this week’s SIA challenge, inspired by Clementine Hunter’s “Playing Cards”, I knew immediately I’d wear this top and these culottes, because their colors are perfect to mimic the two main colors in the painting – pale yellow and olive green, and the style of the lacy top echoes the “folksy” feel of the painting too (it makes sense in my head.) I then paired them with these recently thrifted heels to mimic the black lines of the tree trunks.
