A Difficult Decision (Casual Style)
Yesterday I made the tough, but sensible, decision to withdraw from the South Downs Way 50 Mile event at the beginning of April as my back issue is no better. In fact the pain has moved from across my lower back to the right hand side, down my leg and into the back of my knee. Sitting, laying, walking, standing are all uncomfortable, to be honest I would quite happily chop my leg off at the moment to be pain free. The only silver lining is that I got a £60 refund which is most of the race entry fee - slightly softens the blow of injury and being laid up from running. (Affiliate link advertising banner)
