Purple after the Rain (Workwear)
After being battered by Storm Brendan the last few days, Wednesday dawned dry-ish as far as the rain was concerned but flooded everywhere on the roads. I use a narrow country lane to get to work each day and have learnt my lesson after having to take my little car through a very deep flood that was across the entire road and about 10 car lengths long. I didn't have any choice as there was a long queue of cars behind me and a car in front halfway across the road that had attempted to turn around before the floodwater and fallen half off the road..... In this outfit I did not need to get trapped in my car on a flooded road and will be avoiding the lane for a few days...
