One of the most popular hashtags of 2019 is #hotgirlsummer. To be honest, I didn’t really get the meaning behind Hot Girl Summer at first. I asked my #ssInstaFam to explain it to me and they did a great job. I later read this Time article , which has a full explanation of the Hot Girl Summer meme. The originator of the catchphrase also tweeted the explanation:
