A tale of two hats: the foundling
This giant fur hat was given to me last winter by a good friend of mine, with the words: "Look, I found it in the snow next to the American Institute! Do you want it?". I did. It's warm, fuzzy, and pretty - and I wear it, even though it makes me look like a Red Army soldier. In fact, the same friend got me a pin with a red star, sickle and hammer, when he was in Barentsburg (the Russian and Ukrainian settlement in Svalbard) - I have not, as of yet, attached it to the hat. Anyway, dear reader, if you feel that this is your long-lost hat - and can prove that you were near the Rothermere American Institute in Oxford last year - please come and collect it.
