Shams El Balad
Shams El Balad is a contemporary styled café that recently opened in Jabal Amman, promising farm-to-table eating in the heart of the city. My visit to Shams El Balad and the conversations I had with its owner, Hazem Malhas, were a delight that I felt the need to record.

I am so proud of Sham El Balad’ s wholesome vision and the deliciously comforting food on the menu. Their nutritious dishes remind me of those my mother used to cook and still cooks today, and many other people’s too!
