My Ears, Her Ears
It throws me for a loop to see things about me that I never liked all that much, look oh so cute on my girl. Take my ears. I’ve never hated them, but I’ve never really cared for them, they stick out. It’s kind of always been an annoyance when I wear fedoras, and just kind of silly in ponytails. Like I said, I never hated them, but I never liked them. Then last night I said something and it got her really excited. She turned to me with her hair in a ponytail, her eyes wide, eyebrows raised into perfect little triangles and the sticky out ears framing it all *my sticky out ears* , and I thought it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
