Dragonfly Inspired Color Combo
Recently in the garden I was totally inspired by a triangle of colors in a garden photo. Never underestimate the power of using colors from nature, especially soft colors. Nature is rarely wrong. The picture that inspired me was one of a dragonfly visiting my newly created rose garden. I had recently found a great thrifted Merona cotton dress: dark blue covered in a white flower petal pattern. I immediately envisioned dressing it up with green and pink, but I knew I wanted to keep it all soft -- the colors in the picture above knocked back a level or two, though I am sure the brighter colors would work as well.
