Rubber Duckie
When: last Sunday // Weather: 80s and breezy // Real life: Broad Ripple duck race (yes, it’s a thing), dinner & a movie
Every summer, my neighborhood raises money by dumping 2000 rubber ducks into a canal so they can “race” to the finish line. It’s ridiculous. It’s adorable. It’s yellow.
So I wore my own yellow and watched those little duckies float along. They trained so hard, after all. Our duck didn’t win, but we still soaked up the cuteness and then went out for dinner and a movie. So, you know, everyone’s a winner.
