After finishing Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion by Elizabeth Cline, I have further strengthened my resolve to shop mostly my own closet, then thrift stores. However, I have also made the following additional resolutions: 1. When buying things new, expect to pay more. Do pay more. Know where the item was made. 2. Do not donate items unless they're in good condition, all buttons firmly attached, no holes nor stains. 3. Have more things altered in order to perfect the things I own.
