If you remember around Christmas, I had been stalking these Chanel slingbacks like it was my job. I would visit them at the downtown Barney’s. At Saks uptown. And admire them on the chic little grandmothers of the West Village (trust me, there are many around here!). And eventually, while I had batted my eyelashes more than I would like to admit so Santa would notice, they still eluded me. Albeit, they’re a pricey little shoe. One that I wasn’t sure I would wear all that often if I had ponied up the money. So I held off. And slept on it, as any self-respecting 30 something gal would.
Fast forward a few months later and I was still...
