The Casual Flapper
On lazy days around the house, I often reach for more casual 1920s' style items. Kimono shawls or robes, thrown over anything, add instance elegance. I decided to try and wear one of my kimono shawls out of the house, in a more casual Miss Fisher inspired look. I have to say, that this post turned out to be educational. For me, not you! It shows what a difference hair makes - I think my hair here looks terrible. It was freshly washed but not styled in any way, as I was having a lazy day. That's fine if I stick on a floppy hat or a beret, and am wearing something a bit more folky and '70s, but for looks from earlier eras, I think it jars a bit. It really changes...
