Who didn’t hear it as a child: the story of the little tiger and the little bear on their journey to Panama?! When Lufthansa asked me, whether I wanted to fly to Panama with them, I immediately had to think of the famous joyous exclamation: “Oh, how beautiful Panama is!” Before I started researching Panama, I did not know much else though. And when I started asking around in my well-traveled circle of friends, I had to realize that none of them had actually been to Panama before. When I at last looked up the famous children story itself to find out why Panama was “oh, so beautiful”, I was surprised to read that even tiger and bear never actually made it...
