Kickin’ It
A couple of weeks ago, a friend sent out a message that she was planning a family kickball tournament.
And so, a bunch of us gathered today this past weekend to play. We faced harsh field conditions from recent heavy rains, but we forged ahead anyway. All of us, ranging in age from 4-40+ (and an infant rooting us on from her Bumbo on the sidelines), were determined to beat our opponents. With a steely look of ferocity in our eyes, each team member was ready to kick some butt.
Ok, so maybe a few of the younger members dropped out of the game early on to play on the slides and swings. And most of us weren’t all that ferocious in our game play. The bases were...
