The Quietest of Days
We spend our days in a whirlwind of hustle and bustle. We push and go, go,go. Everyday we ask, what did we accomplish today? We pride ourselves on being busy. But what about the momentous accomplishments of quiet?
A day at lunch with a friend, catching up one on one. A day with a connection with another friend spent in honest conversation, one on one. A day spent walking, riding, and thinking. A day spent more in listening to others than thinking about yourself. Focusing on careful, gentle speech from a balance of thoughts. A day outside the self and the constant movement.
We undervalue those days, where it’s not about you. But they are good days.
