La Venadita
You know I love my Mexican food so obviously I’ve been patiently awaiting La Venadita ‘s opening for months after getting word that the owner of Doña Tomas (a super yummy Mexican spot in Oakland) had a restaurant in the works for Sacramento! The taqueria and bar opened last month in Oak Park, an up-and-coming neighborhood that’s already developed quite a bit since I moved to Sacramento just a couple years ago. My girlfriend Stephanie and I grabbed lunch there last week and it’s safe to say it’s now at the top of my list of local Sac gems. The one thing I’ve felt that has been missing in Sacramento is more low-key yet...
