This beautiful editorial is a definite first for me. Sitting down a rustic watch tower with three dogs helping me guard the place just makes for such an interesting story. But the truth is, it’s kind of funny. I put my legs up because I was scared silly- these azkals (stray dogs) followed me to the hut and I tried my best to keep calm and carry on. At this point in my life, dogs were not yet my best friend. Don’t get me wrong, right now I love dogs and I wish I could get one for myself. But there was a time in the past they really scared me. Blame childhood trauma if you will. This was one of those moments. But as they say, anything for the photo!
