As soon as I saw this week’s SIA inspiration, Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s “ A Young Girl Reading “, I knew that I would wear this top, since it’s one of the few yellow pieces that I have in my closet, and the lace trims and large collars can mimic the ruff and the bell sleeves of the girl’s dress. The dusky pink/lavender tone of her ribbons and of the cushion behind her is another matter though – I didn’t want to wear my pink skirt, since it’s too girly and I didn’t want to pair a girly skirt with a girly top.
