one of my favorite afternoon outings is to my local bookstore. and while it’s ever so convenient to order a book from amazon 24/7 and have it delivered to my doorstep. nothing beats perusing bookshelf after bookshelf of the current bestsellers. but it can be a bit of a challenge to find brick-and-mortar bookstores. if you live in san francisco proper you have to trek up to one of the suburbs to find a barnes and noble. and when i spend an afternoon at my local bookstore i want to browse a variety of sections. children’s books are a favorite of mine and so is home design, and it’s hard to resist the how-to section or...
