altering wendy darling's nightgown
I found this vintage nightgown at my local thrift store, and it instantly stuck out to me because of its pretty light blue color, high-necked collar, ruffle-y sleeves, and light stripes. The only problem was...it was super long. I couldn't even walk in it without two feet of the skirt dragging on the floor. In the before photo below, I was wearing five inch heels and it still was too long. Now, I haven't sewed anything in a couple years, let alone altered clothing. The one time I tried to make my own clothes or alter something, I had to cut myself out of a blouse I was working on when I tried it on. Yeah, it wasn't good.
