I have so many colorful and/or printed tops, and sometimes I have trouble finding a basic bottom half in my closet to balance it out. So when I found this black (but not boring) skirt on sale at Madewell , I figured it was a good opportunity to fill out my collection of wardrobe basics. (One of my greatest skills is rationalizing unnecessary clothing purchases.)
