The Countdown
The countdown is on.
Social media has been flooded with Back To School photos and while I think each one is so stinkin adorable, I can’t stand it!
I am that annoying mom that tears up at the thought of my kids leaving me for 8 hours of their day. My mind immediately starts mourning the seconds, minutes and hours I’ll be missing of their lives. Next summer they will be another year older. Their likes & dislikes changed. Their social schedule busier. A head taller. Another step closer to adulthood. I imagine myself driving them off to college wondering where the time went.
I do consider myself lucky though. I still have two weeks left of summer break...
