"Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy." -Anne Frank Yesterday marked the 70th anniversary of Anne Frank's first entry into her now famous diary. As required teaching in my school (and every school), Anne's plight was lost on my younger self. I read her diary, highlighting the aspects I thought would appear on our weekly quizzes and promptly erased said knowledge after acing the test. It wasn't until I reread her diary in college that I was able to absorb the profoundness of it all.
