Alaska Travel Diary- Skagway Train Ride Skagway was our third stop along our Princess Cruise . Skagway is a small little town with a population of about 800 year-round residents. In the summertime the popular triples though! It was so fun to take the train through the scenic White Pass railroad . The railroad was built in 1898 to help facilitate the Klondike Gold Rush. We even passed through Canada for a bit! The views were absolutely breathtaking! After our train ride, we walked through the quaint little city. The town is so historic, with so many buildings from the gold rush era. It was such a fun afternoon and it was surprisingly warm, in the 80s! When we got back to the boat we went up to the top...
