I really feel like summer has finally arrived; this weekend has been heavenly with soaring temperatures and sunshine (albeit with an intermittent Arctic gale). The countryside landscape is evolving before my very eyes and it's inspiring, motivating and captivating my thoughts. Flowers are everywhere, both in the garden and fields and verges; cow parsley is one of my very favourites for reasons of nostalgia. To me, cow parsley along the verges of country lanes really is summer, the sight of it gently waving in the breeze, the bright white fluffy appearance and the scent just takes me back, to wonderful childhood memories.
