Weekly Capsule 20.3: Negatives
I remember a few weeks ago talking about how I always try to balance classic/feminine and quirky/minimalist pieces in my outfits (how I wouldn’t wear a lace shirt with a skirt, for example). Now this is an example of an outfit that I wouldn’t normally put together. The eyelet top already has its quirky details, so the polka dot skirt almost seems too much. But the eyelets on the top and the dots on the skirt look like negative image of one another – even though one is square and the other is round – that I think it would be fun to pair them together. It also helps that I keep my shoes and accessories really simple.
