Weekly Capsule 10.1: Gingham & Floral
For this week’s SIA, inspired by Ernest Bieler’s “The Knitting Lesson”, I put together a simple outfit with elements pulled from the painting – the gingham on the old woman’s head scarf, her black dress, the little girl’s pink dress, and her floral head scarf. It is still not warm enough for skirts right now, but I’m getting a bit tired of jeans, so a skirt and sheer tights it is. It’s annoying that the amount of time I can wear a skirt is so short – a few weeks in April and May, and then a few weeks in October and maybe November, and that’s about it. Any time in between is just too cold for bare...
