Happenstance
It probably looks like this top and skirt was made for each other. But in reality the top and the skirt came together months after the other was purchased.You see, I bought this skirt this past summer for a speaking engagement because nothing says 'I know what I'm talking' about like white faux leather. (File that in your brain under 'important things Kendi has said and I should probably not do.') I wore it casually with a tee because I'm cool and casual like that... but also because I'm last minute and couldn't find another top that worked with this skirt. Fast forward six months to the other day when I was re-merchandizing...
