There's nothing quite like sipping warm cider on a baking hot day whilst watching bands and, despite only knowing a handful of the acts, we had a swell time at the 1234 festival in Shoreditch on Saturday. We both fell for Two Wounded Birds and their gorgeous blend of surf rock, do go and see them if you can, they seem to be doing the festival rounds this summer. Other highlights included Ross' favourite the Chapman Family and Black Lips, whose riotous set drew to a close with lashings of toilet roll pelted into the crowd by their crew.
