From blog Messages on a Napkin
LAVENDER MORNINGS Stars come out for you in a sky painted in midnight if only to remind you you have constellations where the lines in your palms run. I remember them. Dreams pull at my hair as the sky turns lavender with morning and the day rushes through open windows and collides against bedroom walls in its haste, cracking, splintering. Pieces of broken light fall onto my bed and all I can remember is that the corners of your mouth are like the parenthesis in a poem that I once wrote How wonderful it is to live in a world where nothing lasts forever.
