I was surprised to see that the ice skating rink had already opened as I took my usual stroll on the lower part of Central Park.
For a brief moment, I strongly considered taking a twirl. After all, one of the things on my bucket list is to go ice skating in Central Park. Ever since I watched Serendipity I have had a romantic notion about the idea.
Instead, due to the fact that I was about to jump into a car for the airport, I perched on a nearby rock to watch over the skaters. Round and round they went, swiftly gliding across the ice. There were a few couples holding hands, several children with wobbly legs who were desperately grabbing the walls...
