Who doesn’t love designer collaborations? Of course I rejoice when there’s a new one in town because it’s virtually a huge designer sale for us mere mortals. Who won’t sing hallelujahs when closer-to-home retailers like Target, H&M and Kohls partner with high-end fashion brands like Marni, Narciso Rodriguez, Phillip Lim, Catherine Malandrino? It’s an absolute dream when clothing that normally retails at more than $1,000 is marked down to as low as $50, right?
But patience (plus an open mind!) is one virtue I exercise when dealing with designer collaborations. I do check ‘em out but with the full knowledge that...
