Sizing Up the Citrus and Cherries Even though being short never particularly bothered me when I was growing up, I think we’ve all been instilled in our brains since a young age that size does matter. (Remember elementary school and how the teacher would always line us up by size – shorties in the front, bean poles in the back?)
Height didn’t really play a role in my life until about junior high – two BFFs of mine were especially gifted in the stature department, so naturally they looked older than their age.
