My favorite looks are usually a mix of feminine & modern pieces - and I think I can trace this affinity back to my childhood. In middle school, I was infatuated with trends & desperately wanted to wear what was in style at any given moment, but my mom insisted on buying me classic clothing, reminding me that it was important to "always dress like a lady". Although my style has changed over the years, I have carried that mindset with me. And I'm so grateful for her wisdom, even if I didn't fully grasp it at the time ( you were right, Mom! ).
