I met an old friend while I was stranded at the airport yesterday (there was a mega storm and floods everywhere in Manila, in case you are living in a cave), and he asked me why my bag- a Celine Trapeze- was shaped that way. He couldn’t understand style without function, and had to justify the “wings” of my bag. It wasn’t until I showed him how convenient it was to drop your phones in through the wings without having to open the entire thing, that he conceded and agreed to it’s strange, yet effective use.
