Schoolmarm Chic
There's something about milkmaid braids, glasses, and a collared dress that says "schoolmarm" to me. I picture this ensemble on some strict, sour-faced woman in a small town trying to teach otherwise uninterested children in an old one-room school house. And yet for all of those connotations I somehow managed to find myself in this ensemble. It was a hot day so I chose the hair for practicality and while I made an effort to look nice, I was still too lazy to put in contact lenses.
