Substantial pleats The pleated chiffon maxi skirt is something of a blogger staple. Considered a four season piece, it plays with loose tanks, and knotted chambray shirts, then layers with chunky knits and leather jackets. I've worn it all, and I love it all, but chiffon by nature is a thin, sheer fabric, and the skirts with those mini slips, made from a fabric nearly as thin and sheer as the chiffon itself left me feeling over exposed.
