Felting
I made this no-sew bag in my 3D Fibers class. I made it with a process called wet felting. You start with raw fiber, usually wool, that's already cleaned and dyed. You basically just lay it out in sheets, wet it with soap and water, and agitate it until the fibers bond together. I made this bag with no structural sewing. I only sewed on the buttons and some of the lace.
Here's the inside. I used plastic as a resist to make the pockets. None of it is sewn!
Handmade bag, Free People blouse, Forever 21 pants, Birkenstock sandals.
