Fue en 2007 cuando el famoso periódico británico The Guardian publicaría su particular Top Ten de las mejores playas del Mundo , declarando la Playa de Rodas (Islas Cíes) como la playa más bella compartiendo lista con otras maravillas de Colombia, Brasil, Filipinas, Tanzania o la Polinesia.
