Mission Point Lighthouse
While in Traverse City, Eric and I headed up Old Mission Peninsula to see the lighthouse at the tip-top called Mission Point Lighthouse. You drive along M-37, which is such a beautiful scenic route with cherry orchards and vineyards. The lighthouse was built in 1870, and decommissioned in 1933. We explored the beach for a while, but unfortunately missed the time slot to tour the inside and climb the tower. It only means we'll have to come back someday!
