Work to Weekend: Maxi Skirt
Although often reserved for casual wear (and I will certainly use it for that), I made myself a maxi skirt (yes, made - we'll celebrate that tomorrow when I share my beginner version of a tutorial). I've been on the fence about them for what feels like forever. I had a maxi dress a bazillion years ago that I never wore because the top portion had such little coverage one might have thought it was intended for the little girl's section. Had I owned a sewing machine at the time, I would have just made my dress into a skirt and been on my way. But alas, timing is everything and this time, timing sucked. Moving on... I plan to wear it on the weekends...
