Photo Tip Thursday: Shooting in Direct Sunlight

Hi! For this week's Photo Tip Thursday, I'll be going over how to shoot outfit photos in direct sunlight. Sunlight shooting can be a bit tricky, because at each different time of the day, the sunlight shines with differing intensity, is at a different angle in relation to the horizon, and casts very different types of shadows on the subject. Most portrait photographers and fashion bloggers swear by what's known as the "golden hour" which is either the hour after the sun rises or the hour before the sun sets.
