Bare Midriff: My Comfort Level Being in my 30's and having two kids, I'm definitely not as comfortable showing my midriff as I used to be. It's not even about body image. It's about what seems appropriate for my age and occasion. High-waisted pants that show skin above my belly button aren't an issue. Low-slung hipsters on the other hand, are a completely different story. The reason I felt comfortable in this All-Saints top, is mainly because of the crocheted fringe hanging down.
