SIA Inspiration: Erté
Delicate, glamorous, and oh-so-1920′s, that’s how you can describe the work of Russian-born French artist Erté . I didn’t know about him before, but I fancied something Art Deco for this week’s SIA, so I looked up Art Deco artists, stumbled across his gorgeous illustrations, and was immediately hooked. There are so many beautiful ones to choose from, but finally I decided on “ Spring Rain ” because, hey, it’s season-appropriate:
Plus this one just screams “pattern mixing”, so I thought it would be perfect to be translated into an outfit. Anyway, deadline is as usual, next Monday, April 21, and the round-up...
